My name is Rebecca Pieken and I have been in the publishing world a really long time.
 

I started as a managing editor in New York City publishing (Matthew Bender, Henry Holt, Macmillan) and when I moved to California, I freelanced for Henry Holt, St. Martin's Press, and Penguin. Most recently, I was at the Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) in Monterey, California, where I was a thesis processing specialist. My role at NPS was to ensure students' theses, dissertations, and published reports were compliant with academic norms. In short, I made sure theses looked good, smelled good, and tasted good. I am the co-creator of the highly esteemed Naval Postgraduate School Citation Guide. You are in good hands with me.
